Sleep

Sleep sucks.

Now don't get me wrong I love to sleep as much as the next person, most of the time. It just seems like such a waste of time, why did we have to be built to do nothing for 7-9 hours?
I can do so many more things if I didn't need to do nothing at all for 8 hours. 8 HOURS. I don't sleep a lot either way so I think im fine. I actually read somewhere that humans were built to have 2 sleep cycles or something.
Like as in we arent supposed to sleep through the night but there are like 2 times of the day where sleeping would be the most efficient. I think it was early morning hours from 2-5am then mid day from 1-4pm.
I'd prefer that over having to go to bed at 11pm if you want to be a normal human. And the worst part is you can't even try to do this sort of double cycle since the world isn't built around it.

On the topic of sleep: Did you know that kittens sleep for 20 hours a day? That's so silly. They spend most of their lives sleeping.
Maybe if I were a cat I wouldn't dislike sleep as much as I do, after all they don't have kitty jobs to go to. They don't have kitty money to earn.

If I could choose to stop sleeping I definitely would accept it BUT depends on how. If I just took a pill or wore a bracelet that was magic then yeah, Id do that.
But if I had to get some sort of device put in my brain or some kind of invasive surgery then no way. Stuff like that can fail randomly and then what? If it fails what if I just drop dead? Or what if my brain just fries?
My solution for having to sleep would just be somehow we find out a way to lower sleep to 1 or 2 hours per day but thats most likely impossible. But that would be my ideal solution.

A side thought I have often: Why is the sleep deprived aesthetic considered so hot by so many people? A lot of people like when people (mostly guys) have bags under their eyes and messy hair.
I'm not really sure what the appeal of this is. I have both dark circles under my eyes and messy hair, but anyone who's ever liked me didn't like me for that. (well that's not true they liked my hair a lot)
But not for the reason that I'm talking about. Is it just a case of it being there is a small amount of people who like that look but theyre very vocal about it? Or have I just never met people who like that look? It's most likely the latter.

That's all I wanted to say.
